BoF: Coding for the network engineer
Valbyhus
DKNOG BoF 1: Coding for the network engineer
Welcome to the first DKNOG BoF (Birds of a Feather) event.
What is this?
The first DKNOG Birds of a Feather (BoF) event - a relaxed, social, hands-on day about coding and automation for network engineers. All experience levels welcome, from "never written a line of code" to "I automate everything."
What to expect
Morning: talks + discussion
- A short talk by Thomas Kjær Aabo sharing his journey from CLI-only network engineer to writing tools, to set the scene. The best part of the day will be what we figure out together.
- Open Q&A and group discussion
- Show & tell - bring something you've built, or just listen
Lunch
Afternoon: flexible
- Hands-on block: try things out, pair up, help each other — or continue the discussion if that's where the energy is
- Wrap-up: what worked, what's next? (BoF 2 is shaping up to be "Practical AI")
Rough schedule
