The entire network on Roskilde Festival have since 2009 been deployed, operated and supported by a group of volunteering networking engineers - many who also participates at DKNOG events :-)
We have been given the opportunity for 16 people to join a onsite tour on the festival site during the warmup days.
During the tour, Jonas Hauge will walk you through the history, design concepts and operation of a atypical network on a grass field and show the different ways the organization have solved the need for a high-uptime network built in 10-12 days.
After the tour there will be the possibility to grab some food and a drink (self-payed) before leaving the festival site.
Practical information for participants will be shared closer to the event. Parking will not be possible close to the festival site - so you need to be able to walk decent distances and remember to dress according to the weather.
Note: Ensure that you are able to participate before signing up as seats are limited.
