Description
The Network Industry is changing quite fast; new proposals and dramatically new concepts are everywhere. How practical are these ideas? What is the likelihood that they will be deployed in networks? Perhaps most importantly, what is the impact on network operator jobs, job descriptions and roles if these ideas come to pass?
"The DKNOG association was founded in 2009 with the goal of providing a social platform to further the exchange of knowledge within the Danish networking industry." But, going forward, what knowledge makes sense for operators? How should it be acquired? This talk will attempt to shed some light on the directions that networking might take in the future, and the type of knowledge/skillsets that would be needed.
